Bio from Wesley, Sep 10, 2000
When we graduated from High School in 1965 I was working at the
High-Way Fruit Mkt. as a driver.
In the spring of 1966 I was drafted into the Army. I served
three years in Frankfort, Germany and was
discharged in April, 1969 as Sergeant of the supply room. In
the fall on 1969 I started driving tractor
trailers and went self-employee in 1972 buying my first
tractor. I was on a regular run from Vestal to
Dallas, Tex. I was hauling main frames out of I.B.M. in
Endicott. I sold my last tractor and quit driving
in 1981. I bought the old ARCO gas station on the Vestal
Parkway (near SUNY) and ran it as a mini
market until this spring (2000). I retired when Amerada Hess
bought me out. I got married in 1978 to
Mr. Riley's (ahead of the guidance dept.) daughter Janet. We
adopted a 7 year girl and in 1986 had a
son Craig. My wife Janet teaches at the Apalachin Elementary
(35 years) and I am currently retired and
driving school bus part time for Owego. I also played on the
teachers golf league with a lot of the teachers
from 1965.
