Soul Searcher

Soul Searcher
To believe these tears that
I cry
will cleanse my spirit as if
from gentle rain
that falls from the sky.
To believe that this pain
that I feel
is my broken heart, trying
to heal.
To believe all that I may
do, all that I may say,
is forgiven by the coming of
a new day.
To believe that all my fears
can be erased by the hugs of
those I hold dear.
To believe that all my
wrongs
will show me a person who is
humble, yet strong.
To believe in life ever
after
when my own has reached its
last chapter
is to believe.
